Young and Old Make Merry as Whistles Announce New Year
Only a turn of the calendar leaf and behold! 1914, the New Year, an inspiration for resolutions and good things.
Slowly through the misty vale, the old man, 1913, is wending his way into oblivion; into eternity, from whence he cannot return. He has served us well, perhaps, but we no longer care for him. He has aged and faded. The novelty of him has worn away and we have with us something new something full of life and something that gives us an opportunity to start all over again where we left off at the end of 1912. ....
