The 1st challenge lay in actually booking the trip. We knew. Normally plan our trips abroad ourselves but individual tourism doesnt exist in north korea even booking the entry and departure arrangements are dealt with by a state agency. Before entering the country we had to sign a paper declaring that our visit had no journalistic purpose.
