Austria doesnât do purpose-built ski-in/ski-out ski resorts like France, but from most hotels in Obertauern itâs possible to step out each morning on to the piste and slide all the way back home in the afternoon. Since itâs an extremely popular resort with both German and Austrian tourists, the choice of UK tour operator packages is somewhat limited, but there is plenty of accommodation, including apartments, to book direct. While most guesthouses and hotels are traditional Austrian in style, the hip Peakini Klubhaus opened in 2019 and brought a new vibe to the resort. Pension Gloria A three-star B&B with 21 simple yet cosy rooms in a quiet location on the edge of the piste, Pension Gloria has a wellness area with sauna and steam room to relax in at the end of the day, and an in-house ski and snowboard shop. Private instruction is also available. Breakfast is buffet-style. ....
