Air New Zealand chief executive Greg Foran says it s maintaining flexibility in regards to when border restrictions may ease.
Air New Zealand’s two most recent cases of Covid-19 have come from Asian cities not deemed high risk by the Ministry of Health, suggesting it s time to reassess what destinations pose the most risk to crew, a union says. On Sunday the Ministry of Health said an Air New Zealand crew member tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from Japan. The woman returned to New Zealand from Narita on February 28, and returned a negative Covid-19 result then. The crew member later returned a positive test result on Sunday after a swab taken on Saturday as part of routine surveillance testing.
