welcome to our viewers in the u.s. and around the world. i m ar rahel solomon. and authorities are dealing with what seems to be a uniquely american problem, a deadly outbreak of gun violence, this time in the very city where the declaration of independence was signed, philadelphia. what we know is that there are six shooting victims, four are deceased, two that are stable that are juveniles, a 2-year-old and a 13-year-old. the four deceased victims, their ages range from 20 to 59. one victim we don t know who they are yet, we don t know how old they are, but they could be between the ages of 16 and 21. all of the shooting victims are male. overnight authorities discovered a fifth victim tied to the shooting. the rampage happened late last night along several blocks in the area of southwest philadelphia. bob brooks from wpvi has more details. reporter: a tragedy here, four men have lost their lives. two children ages 2 and 13 luckily they are in stable condition. ....
Stormy and hot july 4th is shaping up for much of the nation and that could bring some of the parties indoors and also put a bit of a damper on fireworks displays. britley ritz is joining us now. who is most likely to see a stormy 4th? if it is not the storms, it is the heat. so pretty of the entire lower 48 dealing with storms or extreme heat. we have storms across the plains and deep south right up into the mid-atlantic. at the moment, mid-atlantic up into new england, some severe and a few scattered showers this morning and it will ramp up during the afternoon. one severe thunderstorm at the mock across south dakota, and active weather going through the northern plains at the moment. all the right ingredients with the lift of the cold front. areas in yellow, stronger risk for stronger storms. ....
while the air force investigates the deadly crash of an eighth plane. one of these based in charlotte, north carolina. we expect to learn more in a news conference this afternoon. we know that four of the six crew members were killed, including this man, lieutenant colonel mike mckiel who spoke to one of our affiliates on saturday. lizzie o leary with the latest out of washington. what s the latest? reporter: latest is that they are investigating the cause of this crash while the other c-130s are grounded, grounded by the air force right now, and that essentially really diminishes the ability of the forest service to fight a lot of wildfires. the way the service does this is they use a number of different planes, but some of the big guns, as you said it, are the c-130s that are on loan from the air force as part of this fire fighting fleet. this is not the first time a c-130 has crashed, a relatively horrific crash in 2003 when essentially a c-130s wings folded up war ....
