國道1號南下130.4公里苗栗交流道前路段，昨天深夜發生3車碰撞事故。1輛貨車先遭大貨車追撞翻覆在車道上，又遭另1輛貨車撞擊，造成翻覆貨車內劉姓男子、郭姓女子夫婦被撞出車外，劉男頭部重創，當場失去生命跡象，送醫搶救於今天凌晨宣告不治，郭女則有骨折等傷勢，留院觀察，事故原因由國道二隊警方調查中。國道二隊警方於昨天深夜11點50分接獲報案，指國道1號南下130.4公里，發生3車碰撞事故。員警到場現場，發現為1輛大貨車與2輛貨車碰撞；大貨車駕駛疑因疲勞駕駛，追撞上劉男夫婦駕駛的貨車，造成貨車翻覆在車道上，接著貨車又遭後方另一輛貨車撞擊，劉男、郭女雙雙被撞出車外。
