COVID death toll climbs to 892 in Sri Lanka with 24 confirmed fatalities on Thursday (13)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services today confirmed 24 deaths that occurred from 08th to 13th May, due to Covid-19 virus infection. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 892.
1. The deceased is a 47 year old male resident in Dambulla. He died on 10.05.2021 while undergoing treatments in Teaching Hospital Kurunegala. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia and a heart disease.

Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed five (05) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Sunday (07). Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 502.
Interestingly, one of the victims reported on Sunday (07) had died on the 2oth of December 2020 while another had died on the 25th of February 2021.
The details of Sunday’s victims are as follow:
01.The deceased is a
74 year old male resident from Pallekele. He died on 02.03.2021 at while undergoing treatment at the National Hospital in Kandy. The Cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia and bleeding to the brain.
