BENTONG: The road connecting Bentong to Raub, which has been closed for nearly nine months, should be repaired and reopened as scheduled by the end of this month, says former transport minister Tan Sri Liow Tiong Lai.
KUANTAN: The first shipment of Covid-19 vaccine has arrived in Pahang.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the 23,400 doses of vaccine manufactured by Pfizer were the first of six shipments under phase one of the Covid-19 vaccination programme for the state s frontliners.
Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan in Kuantan would get 9,360 doses, followed by Hospital Lipis in Kuala Lipis (4,680 doses), Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Temerloh (4,680 doses), Hospital Muadzam Shah in Rompin (3,510 doses) and Hospital Bentong with 1,170 doses.
These doses would be given to 11,700 frontliners in the state, said Wan Rosdy. Each frontliner will receive two doses with an interval of 21 days or three weeks after the first injection, he added.
