Bethel Park residents should expect to see crews start road repairs in May. Council recently awarded a $1.53 million contract to Mele & Mele & Sons of Braddock to pave 23 roads. They were the lowest of six bidders. Councilman Joe Consolmagno said that company has worked for Bethel Park the past three years. “We’re extremely satisfied with the work that they have done,” he said. “They do an excellent job. They do the paving, and then we have another company that comes in and does the landscaping. That program has worked out real well.” Stacey Graf, director of engineering, said Bethel Park is in year three of a five-year paving plan designed by RoadBotics. ....

Michael Sommerfield, who runs NR12 Fitness, Station Road business park, Horning Road, Wroxham is opening a new London-style gym in bigger premises next door. Graham and James Bates, father and son who run Eric Bates & Sons kitchen firm in Wroxham saw how Covid caused membership at the gym to nose-dive. So, they invested in his dream to expand, have helped with the fittings and fixtures and the new gym is all set to open in January. ....
