For more than two decades, a large crowd of area artists, philanthropists and quilt lovers have come together every other year for the New Hope Charity Quilt Auction. This year, the event is being moved to a virtual platform as these groups partner in support of New Hope’s mission of enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities. “The event started out as a recommendation by one of our Foundation Board members, who was also an avid quilter,” says Director of Development, Jodie Jansen. “Over the years, the support from both donors and our area quilting communities has been tremendous. Donors appreciate the unique opportunity to support New Hope, and quilters enjoy the showcase of handmade and antique quilts.” The online event will begin at noon on Thursday, April 15 and conclude at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, allowing bidders the opportunity to view auction items in a COVID-friendly manner and monitor bidding.
