The Ondo state House of Assembly has fingered the impeached deputy speaker Rt Hon Iroju Ogundeji and one other lawmaker as the petitioners of the phony N2.4 m fraud in the assembly.
They reportedly petitioned the Economic and Financial Crime Commission alleging that the funds meant for a supposed seminar ended up in private pockets.
Consequently, a lawmaker, Felemugudu Bankole, the Clerk of the House of Assembly, Bode Aladeyelu, and two civil servants Olusegun Kayode Oyadeji and OJ. Afolabi was detained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission over alleged fraud. ....

The Ondo State House of Assembly has received the names of four Commissioner nominees forwarded to it by the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Chairman House Committee on Information, Youth and Sports Development. Hon Gbenga Omole confirmed this in Akure, the state capital.
The nominees are: Mr Ojogo Kimikanboh Donald, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, Sir Charles Titiloye and Engr Aminu Raimi Olayiwola.
Governor Akeredolu in a letter addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun Bamidele David and signed by the Chief of staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale requested members to give their approval to the list in view of the urgent need to fast-track the instrumentality of governance. ....

Members of the State House of Assembly have said that ” The seven days ultimatum issued to herdsmen to quit the state Forests is a good intention meant to secure the lives and property of the people.
A statement by the Chairman House Committee on information, Hon Gbenga Omole noted that the quit notice followed ” the incessant cases of kidnapping, and other criminal activities traceable to herders in the state forest reserves.
They lamented the loss of lives and property attributed to the nefarious activities of herders in Ondo State. ....
