Indiana health officials Dr. Kris Box and Dr. Lindsay Weaver held a COVID-19 press conference on Wednesday, notably without Gov. Eric Holcomb, who made regular appearances at the state s weekly updates.
Wednesday s update comes one day after new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, recommending fully vaccinated Americans don’t need to wear masks outside, except in crowded settings. The state has also been trying to ramp up vaccination efforts, encouraging clinics to offer walk-in appointments beginning Monday. Paramedics taking COVID-19 vaccine to homebound Hoosiers


The Homebound Hoosiers vaccination program is taking the vaccine to people who can’t leave their home.

GREENWOOD, Ind. Hoosiers age 55+ are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, more vaccine clinics are opening around the state, and more vaccine is available with the emergency approval of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine. But people still have to sign up, then go out and get the shot. 
Now the Homebound Hoosiers vaccination program is taking the vaccine to people who can’t leave their home.
