The bbc has heard the first 50 people who will be housed on the Bibby Stockholm Barge later today, and up to 500 men will be transferred there while they await the outcome of their asylum applications. Campaigners have expressed concerns about the conditions aboard the barge but the government insists the that it is safe and help will help reduce the cost of placing migrants in hotels.
