Dan Whelan Stanley Park golf course in Blackpool is to be reduced to nine holes in September from 18, as Holmes Investment Properties prepares to redevelop 39 acres into a £45m indoor adventure park. An Adrenalin World venue, a concept headed up by tennis player-turned-leisure mogul, David Lloyd, is to be constructed on the part of the course east of East Park Drive, subject to planning approval from Blackpool Council. The closure of half of the course from 1 September is to allow Holmes Investment Properties to carry out work to downsize and consolidate the course on land to the west of East Park Drive.
