MIDDLETOWN The district’s need for consistent learning, as well as assuring the $87.35 million middle school project will be finished on time are the reasoning behind the schools chief not calling a snow day due to the snowstorm, he said.
Middletown Superintendent of Schools Michael Conner, who issued a day of remote learning for Thursday and possibly Friday, said he is taking a proactive approach to issues facing the district. “In two days, cohorts A and B would have roughly four hours of in-person or remote instruction,” a lack of teaching time he said he wants to avoid, calling it a “student-centric decision.” ....
