AN AVID Star Wars fan said the filming of a new TV series at a Dorset quarry would immortalise the area for local people. Preparations continued on set of the new Star Wars TV series at Winspit Quarry, near Worth Matravers, on Monday. The series of the iconic franchise is believed to be airing on Disney+ and on the afternoon of Monday, May 10, multiple mini-buses were taking staff and props to and from the set, while security guards were dotted around guiding people away from the quarry, which looks out on the sea.
