The Hollies specialist dementia centre in Dursely in Gloucestershire is creating 60 jobs after a £4 million-plus investment.
The new addition to The Hollies specialist dementia care centre, Holly Oak, has 45 bedrooms and several luxury apartments.
A multi-million pound investment by the Cheltenham-based owners of The Hollies specialist dementia care centre, has created 60 new jobs and doubled the size of the care home in Dursley.
The Hollies Care Centre secured a £4.1 million funding package from NatWest and Lombard to build and fit-out its new home, Holly Oak, on its existing four-acre Drake Lane site near the Stroud district market town. ....

Rednock School pupils create Christmas cards for elderly

PUPILS from Rednock School have spread some festive cheer by sending handmade Christmas cards to residents at local care homes.
Led by teacher Mrs Wade, 221 Christmas cards were created and hand-written by year 7 children in school this month.
They were delivered to The Hollies Care Centre, Henlow Court and Yercombe Lodge, plus to home care clients of Nobilis Care.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “The students created 221 handmade cards and wrote lovely sentiments inside that will hopefully lift the spirits of those who received them.
“The students spent two days during tutor time creating these cards and thoroughly enjoyed the process. We’ve already had some feedback from a daughter of a resident, who said ‘My mum was very pleased and grateful for such a lovely and thoughtful card. Thank you’.” ....
