Holiday Bureau persists through pandemic, theft

Holiday Bureau of Anderson County, which provides toys to less fortunate children in the area is continuing this year, in spite of the pandemic and, recently, theft.
Sharon Crane, president of the Holiday Bureau board, gave an update in a post on Facebook regarding the theft. 
“THIEVES STEALING FROM THE POOR AT CHRISTMAS!!” she stated. On the night of Dec 2, large toys were left outside under grey and green tarps, she reported. When volunteers returned to work in the morning Dec. 3, many of the toys and the tarps were reportedly missing. 
“We serve the poor of Anderson County. The thieves have caused some children not to get large toys this year! A police report has been filed!!” she stated. ....
