DENR releases 2 tarsiers in Zamboanga Norte forest

PHILIPPINE TARSIER. One of the two rescued tarsiers crawls on a tree trunk after personnel of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Liloy released them back to their natural habitat Wednesday (March 2, 2022) in Barangay Delucot, Godod, Zamboanga del Norte. The tarsiers were retrieved on the same day by CENRO-Liloy personnel who responded to a social media report regarding the capture of the nocturnal mammals in the area. Philippine Eagle rescued in Lanao del Sur

An injured Philippine Eagle is rescued on February 9 in Marogong East, Marogong, Lanao del Sur and turned over to the Regional Wildlife Rescue Center (RWRC) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-9 (DENR-9) for emergency care. "We're talking of Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, even Central Visayas and northern Mindanao, are having an improved weather," Benison Estareja, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in a briefing.
