Hobe Sound Bridge repairs delay boat traffic on Indian River


The bridge is between Hobe Sound and Jupiter Island and crosses over the Indian River.
The bridge will open on its Western side, Kneiss said, so boats should wait near that area and avoid the center of the bridge.
She said workers are repairing cables on the bridge.
The maintenance will not block off vehicles or pedestrians crossing the bridge on land, Kneiss said.
The county is working with the U.S. Coast Guard to coordinate the openings.
Boat captains can call the bridge tender on VHF Channel 9 or 772-546-5234.
