South Korean drink, brewing and distillery firm HiteJinro, a leading producer of soju, has spent VND191.3 billion ($7.8 million) on leasing 8.2 hectares for a project in Vietnam’s northern province of Thai Binh.
HONG KONG — A soju-themed pop-up store dedicated to Korea’s signature distilled spirit has recently been opened by drinks giant HiteJinro in the bustling heart of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
Soju, the popular Korean distilled spirit, is riding the K-wave overseas – including Hong Kong, where bartenders are mixing the rice spirit into cocktails and the drink has its own pop-up store.
Hitejinro, Korea s leading beverage company, said Monday it will cut the factory price of its soju products by 10.6 percent in January, helped by the government s tax benefits.
