Snow and treacherous ice from a cross-country storm may cause hazardous travel conditions in the interior Northeast on Thursday and Friday, as per meteorologists. Even after the storm leaves the area at the end of the week, Boston and portions of the New York City and Philadelphia metro areas may experience slick travel conditions.
Some areas may see 12 inches of snow or more. Regardless of accumulations, the storm will be a shocking change to recent weather in the West and Midwest. On Thursday, parts of nine states were under winter storm warnings and watches as the wintry storm started forming over the western U.S. Forecasters at AccuWeather believe a growing cross-country storm will unleash all types of severe weather late this week and into the weekend.
A team of international experts revealed that ocean warming of the Arctic started way earlier than previously thought. The study suggests that since the beginning of the 20th Century, the Arctic Ocean had already been getting warmer due to the recent expansion of warming Atlantic water, called "Atlantification".
Solar events are known to disrupt satellites, power grids, and even television broadcasts and mobile communication, but experts warn that the severity of it will cause an 'Internet Apocalypse'.
