this press conference under way right now with kentucky governor andy beshear talking about the devastating floods. 25 fatalities across five counties. that number will continue to grow. and to be refined. remember, we don t have cell service in some areas to please be patient as we get new information or if it changes. we continue to pray for the families that have suffered ununfathomable loss. some have lost almost everyone in their household. rescuers at the kentucky department of fish and wildlife has been the forefront of these recovery efforts. they ve had to ultimately gather the bodies more than just about anybody else. so, please also pray for those first responders. the mission has been specially challenging and what they re experiencing firsthand is tremendously stressful and difficult. we thank them for what they re doing. deaths include four in breather county, two in clay, 14 in knot, two in lecher, and three in perry. again, those will continue to rise. ....
and take advantage of our special offer of no payments for eighteen months. hello again, everyone, thank you so much for joining me this saturday. i m fredericka whitfield. rescue operations are under way in eastern kentucky, floodwaters engulfing entire communities following torrential rainfall. there have been deaths from the flooding, including four children. officials say the numbers may rise as many people are missing as of this hour. governor andy beshear saying this earlier today. this is still an emergency situation. we are in search and rescue mode. that count is going to continue to go up. and we don t lose this many people in flooding. this is a real tough one. search and rescue teams are wading through the waters, looking for survivors around the clock. the national guards from kentucky, tennessee, and west virginia air lifting hundreds to safety. so far more than 660 air rescues. roads and bridges have been swept away, cutting off access and complicat ....
