Bourbon and Bacon Bash With the words “bourbon” and “bacon” right there in the name, organizers don’t have to do much else to lure locals to this annual gala supporting the nonprofit Teen & Kid Closet. Featuring local chefs’ creative and indulgent bacon-based dishes — chipotle and bacon wrapped meatballs, crispy pork belly tacos, cheesecake with Cajun bacon jam and much more — with sips of bourbon and beer to go with it, the afternoon also includes music by The Rising in the unique setting of Historic Flight Foundation’s Felts Field museum. The bourbon comes courtesy of four regional distilleries: Dry Fly, 2 Loons, Warrior Liquor and Heritage Distilling. Teen Closet’s mission is to provide dignity to local children in need by providing gently used and new clothing, and operates its referral-based clothing boutique in east downtown Spokane. ....
