Four races that will ultimately determine the outcome of the united states senate. you look at arizona. you look at georgia, nevada, pennsylvania. look at the percentage that hispanic voters make up in arizona and nevada. it is well north of 10%. you can see on your screen right now. 18% in nevada, 23% in arizona. so hispanic owners have an outsized say in those key important senate races zblit s still early my friend. it s still early. now the issues for candidates and parties in general is trying to figure out how do i reach those voters, this increasing important and growing group of voters. is there just one message? my gut would say no. i don t think there is. we mentioned at the beginning of this that hispanic voters don t vote as a bloc. what we see over the last few election cycles is hispanic voters which have traditionally been a strong democratic group, ....

Previously this was presumed that this was a huge threat to the republican party had not been doing well with minority voters, but this is no longer the case. data from a recent times poll shows that although gaining support from college-educated white voters, the democratic party is losing support from minorities, specifically hispanics as well as the working class. as cnn harry enten recently pointed out, republicans are currently polling 10 points better with people of color than their previous best year, 2004. and harry explains it this way, part of why that s occurring is the changing demographic makeup of voters of color. there are a lot more hispanic than they used to be. at the same time, they re a lot less black. hispanic voters don t support democrats as much as black voters, but that s not all that s going on. democratic support from asian-american, black and hispanic voters is much lower than it has usually been. and what issues are driving this great realignment? ....
