Abdullah Balouchi tragically died after an incident in Peel Street
Abdullah, 20, was found collapsed in Peel Street, off Spring Bank in Hull, on Wednesday, October 7 last year.
Yesterday, the jury at Hull Crown Court heard from prosecutor Nicholas Campbell QC, who told them Abdullah had been targeted by the group after he became involved in an incident where he stuck up for his friend.
The court heard Abdullah s friend had been involved in an earlier disagreement with a man in Queen s Gardens.

Five men will today stand trial accused of the murder of Abdullah Balouchi.
Stabbing victim Abdullah, 20, was found collapsed in Peel Street, off Spring Bank in Hull, beside a children s park on the evening of Wednesday, October 7.
A murder investigation was launched the following afternoon and four men and a teenage boy were charged.
Adbul Al-Amudi, 32 of Cambridge Street, Khalid Aadan, 18, Mohamed Aadan, 19, both of Pendril Street, Peter Balog, 21, of Scunthorpe and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all previously been charged and will appear today at Hull Crown Court for trial.
