Applause: Good news in Ocala/Marion | April 18, 2021 Ocala Star-Banner Area student excels in higher education Jennifer Tomich, Ocala, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Tomich was initiated at Florida State University. CF student recognized among 15 nationwide College of Central Florida student Daniel Goodman was recently named as a Guistwhite Scholar, according to a press release from CF. Winners were selected from among 4,400 applicants nationwide, and their selection was based on academic excellence, leadership accomplishments and engagement in Phi Theta Kappa programs. Goodman was one of 15 members selected and will receive a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies. ....
