The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed banks to vacate a post-no-debit restriction placed on 440 bank accounts of individuals and companies. The new directive is contained in a circular issued on Tuesday, which was signed by A.M. Barau on behalf of the CBN director of banking supervision. The apex bank, however, asked the deposit money banks to inform the affected customers of the new development.
