The Hillsboro Police Department investigated an apparent suicide Thursday afternoon, March 4.
According to a press release from the Hillsboro Department of Public Safety, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 400 block of Old Brandon Road at 2:21 p.m. while investigating an alleged felony criminal offense and a possible suicidal subject.
Officers attempted to make contact with the subject at the location and reportedly found the man dead inside the locked apartment from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The body of the 27-year-old Hillsboro man was transported to American Forensics in Dallas for autopsy.
The Hillsboro Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Unit and Justice of the Peace Charles Jones responded. ....
