　　会龙场地处三台北路，属浅丘地带，沟深林茂，距离三台、绵阳、梓潼等城区，都有八九十里路，在上世纪20年代至30年代，这里人才辈出，进步思想广泛传播，成为共产主义思想传播和革命行动的一个重要地点。
　　会龙场第一个接触马克思主义思想的人是王棣之，此人原在芦溪涪江小学当教员，1919年8月考入北京高等师范学校读书，后在北京教书。期间，王棣之与在北京求学的三台籍进步学生谭卫根、贺成、左道之、王蕴中等交往密切。到1925年，在北京学习的三台籍学生有8人先后加入了中国共产党，创办了宣传马克思主义的《梓光》杂志（寓意梓州之光），这些学生经常把《梓光》杂志邮寄回家乡，为发展三台的革命力量和建立共产党组织奠定了思想基础。
