Hill County Added To Federal Major Disaster Declaration
Hill County was one of 31 Texas counties added to the President s Major Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance Monday, February 22.
Those who have insurance and are applying for disaster assistance must also file a claim with their insurance company as soon as possible. By law, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) cannot duplicate benefits for losses covered by insurance. If insurance does not cover all of the damages, they may be eligible for federal assistance.
The fastest and easiest way to apply is by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov.
