You have got all of the transit issues that john harwood reported to you that they were proceeding slowly from baltimore to washington, but amtrak is on line and proceeding slowly. metro here slowed down the 15 miles an hour which is the subway here but functioning, and terrific traffic jams downtown because of the evacuations and a lot of people instead of going back in once the all clear was sounded, building to building, wanted to go home. we know damage at the national cathedral, and the washington national cathedral which is only a mile down the road here between us and the white house and that is the gothic national cathedral and high church and high episcopalian and the site of all of the memorial services and funerals and great moments that we have seen throughout history, state funerals for presidents, but we don t know of any structural damage other than what happened to the facade ....
