CEBU CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 7 (Central Visayas) recorded at least 13 job applicants who were hired on the spot (HOT) during its December 8 job fair, "Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan: A Blended Jobs and Business Fairs". All HOT applicants were hired by a leading apparel manufacturer of a world-renowned sportswear and outdoor wear brand based at the Mactan Export Processing Zone in Lapulapu City, DOLE-7 Director Marion Sevilla said in a news release on Saturday. The HOTS were mostly production workers, quality controllers, industrial engineers, building engineers, and sewing mechanics. The number could still increase as about 29 applicants are considered near-hires during the job fair, which was held as part of the celebration of DOLE's 88th founding anniversary.
