A 19-year-old Lorain man is headed to prison for his role in the drive-by shooting of Shayne Edwards last year, killing the boy while he slept in his bedroom.
The teen responsible for the shooting death of Shayne Edwards was sentenced to 23 years to life in prison at a hearing Oct. 11 in Lorain County Common Pleas Court.
Family and friends of the late Shayne Edwards are hosting a fundraiser to purchase a headstone for the boy who was fatally shot while sleeping in his Elyria home nearly a year ago.
