There are various art-related activities taking place annually in Porterville, after a number of professional artists moved into the town over the last number of years. As it is important to create an artistic atmosphere in the town and include the local people of Porterville, a historic route was designed where all the historic sites in the town will be portrayed in mosaic. A booklet will also be developed to explain the history of each site. Bergrivier Municipality, in collaboration with the Porterville Museum, Porterville Tourism Office and some of the local professional artists, gave birth to the Mosaic Project more than two years ago, but after funding was obtained for the project it commenced in April 2020.
