Photo by Kevin Cody The Hermosa Beach Kiwanis is donating $40,000 in proceeds from last December’s Holiday Tree Lot to school programs and for college scholarships. Among the recipients is the Hermosa Beach School District counseling program. The Kiwanians gave the program $10,000 last Thursday, following a talk to the club by superintendent Jason Johnson about the need for more counselors because of the pandemic. ....
