At a News Conference yesterday, he called for, quote, rebalancing of our countrys surveillance programs. Among the requests mr. Obama wants more transparency about our surveillance operations, including ones that collect phone records and watch internet traffic. He says hell work with congress to reform the part of the patriot act that governs the collection of data and he wants a prooivcy group to way in when he asks the federal court to approve a special request.
