As the 2023-2024 school year winds down, Creating Badger Builders’ focus remains full steam ahead. Last month, the group held its second annual fundraiser at the Lampasas County Youth Show Barn, raising more than $65,000 for materials to complete the development efforts of tiny homes built by Lampasas High School construction students.
Texas Senator Pete Flores (R-Pleasanton) met with Lampasas County Farm Bureau members for a brief visit Wednesday morning. Mayor Herb Pearce and Sheriff Jess Ramos also attended to hear Flores address issues such as border security, county and municipal water needs, state budget matters and issues of concern for agricultural producers.
Mayor Herb Pearce is all smiles as he turns the switch to bathe the Lampasas courthouse square in jeweled Christmas lights. The lighting ceremony ushers in the Yuletide season for the city.
At last week’s Lampasas City Council meeting, Mayor Herb Pearce signed a proclamation drafted by the Lampasas Pierian Club and the ’36 Club, declaring Sept. 30, 2023 GFWC National Day of Service in the city.
