Foltin said he opened the business in 2002 and did everything from music lessons to instrument repairs and sales. I do have insurance, but I don t think it will be enough to cover everything, he said.
The fire did extensive damage to the two-story concrete structure at

Gordon council adopts resolutions setting floodplain-related fees

Apr. 12 GORDON Two resolutions connected to an updated floodplain ordinance were adopted by the borough council at its
April 5 meeting.

Following an informational meeting to inform residents about the changes, council President
Todd Houser introduced resolutions regarding regulating construction or development in the floodplain, which in the floodplain ordinance which requires a permit from the borough; and another that allows the borough to establish fees for any appeal any action or decision of the floodplain administrator.
The borough's code enforcement officer, who is a volunteer firefighter, was recognized by the Mahanoy City Borough Councilfor his efforts in getting a man out of his burning home on New Year's Eve.
