AT moves to slow traffic
Speed limits in the Warkworth and Matakana areas are the focus of two Auckland Transport (AT) road safety initiatives taking place over the coming months.
Firstly, AT is asking for feedback on plans to cut speed limits by up to 60km/h on 15 rural roads in and around Warkworth, Matakana and the Tawharanui Peninsula.
The roads affected are Wilson, Hepburn Creek, Hodgart and Edwards Roads south west of Warkworth; Matakana Valley, Ward, Smith and Govan Wilson Roads north of Matakana; and Takatu, Whitmore, Buckleton, Baddeleys Beach, Clinton, Campbell and Kookaburra Roads, plus Haywood and Bishop Lanes and Pigeon Place, on the Tawharanui Peninsula. ....
