it was instantaneous, just a very loud noise. the lights went out. everything in black. very heavy smoke and debris piled on top of me. i am pinned in my chair at my desk. there is a pile of debris and i saw what looked like a face. i am pretty sure it couldn t be an alive person. i thought i saw a blink. i yelled for help. from outside came the commander. it feels like a furnace in there. couldn t believe there was anyone alive and i saw captain thomas who was trying to pull debris and i looked off to my side and i saw mr. henson, about 10 feet away. inside this kind of cave of debris. already, my uniform s starting to melt. my shoes are starting to melt. i am really, really eager for him to get out of there. but he says he can t budge. ....

Tarantino. it feels like a furnace in there and i couldn t believe there s anyone alive in there and i saw captain thomas, who was trying to pull some debris and i looked off to my side and saw mr. henson about ten feet away inside this kind of cave of debris, already, my uniform is starting to melt. my shoes are starting to melt. and i m really, really eager for him to get out of there, but he, he says he can t budge. and out of desperation i laid on my back underneath him and put my feet on the debris over his head and leg pressed as hard as i could. with me pushing against my back and him pushing up with his legs, he managed to get most of the debris up to extricate himself from the huge pile of rubble that pinned him to the desk. i think the whole thing took 30 minutes and i didn t think i had much time left when the rescue team came in ....
