Published June 27, 2021, 3:26 PM The Philippine National Police (PNP) will be crafting guidelines for the regular conduct of Psychiatric-Psychological Exam (PPE) to all its personnel amid cases of grave misconduct of some police officers, the recent was that of a police sergeant who went on a shooting rampage inside the Manila Police District headquarters. PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar said they are currently waiting for the recommendations of the PNP Health Service which will be major considerations in coming up with guidelines that would be observed in the regular assessment of emotional and mental health state of all policemen. “This recent incident at MPD, along with the previous ones, highlights the need for us to closely look into the overall state of our men. We should not only look on how they perform their job but also their physical, emotional and especially their mental state,” said Eleazar.
