damage from yesterday s storm meanwhile. pg&e is working around the clog to clear up storm round one before round two hits. we don t want you near any of these wires. reporter: wires that look like spaghetti all over this street. we saw snapping and arking. so we looked outside and there was this pole. reporter: and this mess was from last night. high winds knocked over three power poles cutting off electricity to 1200 customers and nearly hitting henry martinez s home. pg&e was able to restore most power, but in downtown sausalito, not soon enough. we had three birthdays we are celebrating tonight. i placed reservations here a number of days ago. so my surprise, um, they are closed. reporter: sailor s restaurant and bar had to shut down. we are scrambling to find a place for 12 of us to eat which is very difficult to do. reporter: as she scrambles to find a new place to eat, some like henry are hoping they have enough supplies to get them through the night.

man is under arrest for allegedly sexually abusing a novato girl over a three-year period. police arrested 37-year-old arturo hernandes when he was spotted in novato on his way to meet with the victim, a teen under the age of 18. the arrests stem from an investigation that began june 25th. police said investigators learned that the sexual abuse may have occurred, both in novato and san rafael, when the victim was 13. police say the man was living with the victim s family at the time. firefighters from three bay area fire departments joining the fight against a brush fire in solano county. the 17 firefighters from alameda county, fremont, and albany fire departments headed out to the fire. this fire started on friday and so far more than 350 firefighters are on scene. so far, it s spread to 7,000 acres and right now it s just 30% contained. outside, certainly heating up over this holiday weekend. taking a live look outside right now at san jose, you can see not a cloud in

good evening. for weeks now, we ve been showing you the crisis along the american border, the flood of mostly central american migrants, many of them unaccompanied children crossing into this country. overwhelming the american detention system while adding kindling to an already inflamed immigration debate. but tonight, we take you to where it all starts. stephanie gosk has made her way to the epicenter of this crisis, honduras, to show us what migrants are so desperately trying to escape by coming to america. reporter: to understand why young people from central america are leaving without their parents to come to the u.s., you only have to come here, san pedro, honduras. this is one of the most dangerous cities in one of the most dangerous countries in the world. we re in a neighborhood right now, controlled by four different gangs. this small space is a neutral area. they tell us down any of these roads, it s literally a no go zone. every person we ve spoken to says they
