Community involvement has been a constant during the law enforcement career of Darry Lloyd, who on May 7 was sworn in as chief investigator for the Eighth Judicial Circuit s State Attorney s Office.
Lloyd, 49, grew up in Gardenia Gardens apartments in the Duval neighborhood in northeast Gainesville.He joined the Gainesville Police Department s Explorers program in 1987 at the age of 14 and has steadily progressed through different levels of law enforcement, including graduating in 2017 from the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. ....

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Ocean Insight, the applied spectral knowledge company, has announced the winners of its inaugural Grant Program. Winners have earned awards ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 USD in Ocean Insight products.
The Ocean Insight Grant Program launched in October 2020, attracting hundreds of entries from leading universities, research institutions and technology start-ups representing more than 50 different countries.
