Aubuchon Shatters Record

Ste. Genevieve High School senior Megan Aubuchon continues to be the benchmark in the high jump.
Aubuchon now has the school record all to herself after a 1.68-meter leap this past Friday at the Old Settlement Relays at Dragon Field.
“Megan’s doing a lot of things right,” said Ste. Genevieve head girls’ track and field coach Tyne Huck. “She’s driving her knee, getting up and bending over the bar.”
When Huck watched Aubuchon establish her new school record, she said Megan could have easily cleared a few more millimeters.
It was part of a dynamic meet for Aubuchon, who won three events including both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles with respective times of 15.15 and 48.05 seconds. ....

McNeal, Gross Take Podium For Ste. Gen

INDEPENDENCE For Ste. Genevieve High School 126-pound senior Dalton McNeal, this marked the end of a glorious road.
Meanwhile, the journey is only beginning for Dragon 106-pound freshman Gage Gross.
Both Gross and McNeal earned fourth-place medals at the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 2 Tournament on Thursday, March 11, at Cable Dahmer Arena.
McNeal produced a stellar record of 36-7 during the 2020-21 campaign, and he finished his scholastic career with a 133-45 mark.
“I am very proud of how Dalton ended his season,” Ste. Genevieve head coach Jared Bonnell said. “I only wished he could have ended it the way he wanted, as a state champion. I know he gave everything he had.” ....
