Cops nab 3 after robbery in Piarco

Quick and diligent work by officers of the Las Lomas Police Station, resulted in the arrest of three suspects, following a report of robbery with aggravation in the Piarco district, yesterday, according to a release from the Police Service. The victim, a businessman, reported to police that around 7:43 am on Saturday 19th December 2020, he was at his business place at St. Helena Village, Piarco, when three men entered and announced a hold up. The TTPS reports that the men forced the victim to the ground and proceeded to rob him of a quantity of cash before escaping on foot. A report was made to the police and a party of officers responded and cordoned off the area and began a systematic search for the suspects.  The suspects, two 22-year-olds and a 19-year-old, all of whom come from Sangre Grande, were found hiding in a bushy area and arrested.
