Kids at Sioux Valley Dakota Nation are receiving an Easter surprise, with Sioux Valley Petro Canada staff having compiled gifts for them.
More than 400 gift bags filled with activities, artwork and tons of candy are in the process of being distributed to kids on and off reserve, and have been for the past several days.

Anything you can imagine we packed in them as best we could, said Sioux Valley Petro Canada manager Helena Mazawasicuna.
It is COVID right now and the kids have been home, especially the little ones … and it’s inspiring for them to give them something to make them happy and go outside, she said, adding they decided as a team to undertake the effort, which was supported by the community. ....
