(Celeste Edenloff / Echo Press) Mike Sieve has been in the restaurant business for 41 years and for the last 14 years, he’s ran the Brass Lantern, a cafe in the Viking Plaza Mall that he owned with his brother, Jon, and that has been in the Sieve family for nearly four decades. But a post on the Brass Lantern’s Facebook page dated Jan. 9 indicated that the Alexandria restaurant would not be reopening on Monday, Jan. 11, like so many others in the area.
