Eastpointe to host citywide yard sale Shutterstock image Advertisement EASTPOINTE Eastpointe will once again be offering residents the chance to turn one person’s trash into another person’s treasure with a community yard sale during a weekend in August. The Eastpointe City Council approved a motion at its meeting April 6 to allow any Eastpointe resident to host a yard or garage sale without having to register with the city or pay a fee. “The idea is that residents can have a yard sale that weekend without needing a permit,” explained City Councilwoman Sarah Lucido. “It’s usually a $5 fee, but that will be waived. It’s trying to encourage people to come to Eastpointe and see our city.” ....
