But as freedom day loomed, pet psychologists warned around 80 per cent of dogs would experience separation anxiety when their owners returned to work. As a result, many owners have rethought their lives. SAMANTHA BRICK spoke to four women who acquired a pet during lockdown and have made the dramatic decision to walk away from their careers.
